Rufus Shinra stood inside his office, watching the security cameras. They had come, just like he had expected, but this time he had his secret weapon ready. This would be the perfect chance to test it, before trying it out on Sephiroth. All too perfect. Everything was working exactly into his hands. "I hope you aren't getting cold feet, over there." He spoke to her calmly and politely...

Girl: no.....

"Good." Rufus smiled at her. "It's about to be your time to shine, Number 68. We have guests. A friend of mine is coming to visit, And I'd be most pleased if you could talk some sense into him for me."

68: ok....*looking around a little*

Rufus happily observes the action on his security cameras, before pressing a button on his desk, opening a hidden elevator. "Alright, it's time to make our entrance. Come." He made a gesture for her to come to his side as he entered the elevator...

68:....*goes over*

*As the Elevator goes downward, and opens, they pull to a stop behind Cloud Strife, who stops, and directs his attention to Rufus.*

"Rufus Shinra. I knew you would crawl out of the wood-works eventually." He said calmly and quietly, brandishing his blade at the man who stepped out of the elevator.

"Ahh, Cloud. I suppose my Turks are managing to keep your allies occupied below." Rufus stepped forward, before pulling his gun out and holding it at the ready. "68, I would appreciate it if you would have him put that over-sized piece of Metal down."

68:..ok....you should put that down *she looked at cloud with bright blue mako filled eyes."

Cloud looked at her with confusion clear on his face, not sure if Rufus was playing with him or not, but suddenly a sensation similar to the moments before, when Sephiroth had controlled him, overtook him, and in an instant he let loose of the weapon, the Buster Blade clattering loudly to the ground. The sensation was gone suddenly, but his freed hands quickly moved to the sides of his head. "Wh- What?!"

Rufus smiled, giving 68 a gentle pat on the head. "Wonderful, Number 68. Wonderful. Just like the reports said. You should do more than ample for the task I need you for."

Cloud simply looked at her still, his hands on the sides of his head, his voice was still fairly calm as he asked, though, "Wh... What are you?"

68: *just looks at Rufus....she's a very pretty girl, long white hair, same eyes as cloud, nice chest.

Rufus smiled, giving Cloud his focus once more, "She's a very important key to Shinra's oncoming success. She's going to put an end to all of the Shinra Electric Company's problems... Starting with you and your friends... 'AVALANCHE' was it? I'm tired of watching you all get in our way." He pointed his weapon at Cloud and fired.

With a swift motion, though, Cloud ducked the shot, grasping the Buster Blade as he went low, returning the weapon to his grasp. As he readied to return an attack, though, Rufus commanded. "68, Stop him in his tracks."

68:...but..stop *she looks worried and a bit scared*

Cloud stops, just a little bit away from Rufus, who seems uninterested in Clouds attempted attack in the slightest. It's evident that Cloud is trying to force himself to keep going, but can manage little more than a grunt of aggravation, stopped in his place before Rufus.

"Impressive." Rufus stated. "Turn him around, I'd like to take him down stairs. I'd like to show his friends your little trick."

Cloud just grumbled at Rufus, "You're... a sick, sick man..."

68: ...ok. go.

Even as he tried to resist, he seemed to have little choice but to do as she commanded him, heading down stairs against his will. Rufus followed behind him, keeping 68 at his side the entire time, until the reached another busy floor where the Turks Tseng and Elena did battle with a group of Cloud's allies.

"Tseng, Elena. Fall back." As Rufus descended the stairs, he gave the order, and the Turks did as he said, leaving Tifa, Barrett, Cait Sith, and Cid to look on as Cloud went down the staircase ahead of Shinra's President. "Now, 68... Why don't we have him attack... The girl, first."

"You can't... do this." Was all Cloud said, still descending the Staircase as he was told.

68:....he'll hurt her...*looks from cloud to Rufus really worried*

Rufus nodded. "That's the plan. These people are rubbish. Enemies of Shinra. They need to be removed."

Cloud could really do little more than plea, "Don't do this..."

"What's going on?" Questioned Tifa, as the group gave Cloud and his unpleasant entourage a wide berth...

"This looks Bad." Grumbled Barrett in a low voice...

68:......no. *crosses her arms over her chest*

Rufus simply looked at her with an angry look, "What did you say? 68. I told you to have him attack the girl."

68: i don't want to.

[kitsunekun]

Rufus grumbled, "Really now... Fine, Fine... the Turks can remove this trash. Just take him the rest of the way downstairs... hmmph, how useless."

As the Turks returned to attacking Clouds friends, though, Cloud gave her a sidelong glance, before saying calmly, "I'd suggest backing away from him."

68: huh? why?

Rufus Said more forcefully this time, "Take Him Down Stairs."

Cloud simply glanced at her, then at Rufus, then back, and said simply, "Please?"

68: *moves*

Cloud smiled a little as her motion from his side caught Rufus' attention. As Cloud suddenly leaped onto the Stair's rail, Rufus quickly pointed his gun at Cloud again and fired, but with full range of motion and ability, he blocked the shot with his blade and launched into a counter attack.

Rufus moved quickly out of the way, all the while shouting at the girl, "68! STOP HIM NOW!!!"

With Cloud and Rufus' quick volley, they had switched positions, Cloud now between him and her. With Cloud's usual quiet tone, he addressed her. "You really don't want to help him play puppeteer, do you?"

68: I don't want people to get hurt.

Cloud sighed, still facing Rufus, even while talking to her. He didn't raise his voice, though, even while Rufus continued to yell demands. "Then this guy's probably not the right guy to hang around with. I think you'd be better off leaving him behind."

68: I can't leave. I'll get in trouble!

Cloud glanced at her a bit confused. "Uhh, He seems pretty pissed off already."

"Stop the idle chit-chatting like I'm not here!!!" Rufus fired another Shot at Cloud, who once again managed to block it with his weapon...

68: not him. He's not scary. it's the others..... I'm only aloud out because of him.
